Who are we?
Are we a generation of Moses or a generation of posers? 'Stead of standin' proud like a soldier
We surf Netflix on our sofas
It's not a fight, if we're not fightin'
There can't be a clash with no titans
So we aim low
‘Cuz if we aim too high and miss, God forbid, then
How do we live?
Are we the greater than, or the lesser than?
We want change, but not the mess of it
We say we trust God, but we're pessimists
We say, "Don't shoot the messenger"
But if true love is the message, then is my face the reflection?
And will I stand on the water while restin' in God's presence?
Or will I choose to remain here?
'Cause I can just stay the same here
And if I don't make a move at all
How can I be the one to blame here?
We want the sun, but not the temperature
Want to speak, but not be listeners
How can we be in position, if we've never asked what the mission was?
So who are we? 'Cause we're all part of an army
Will we stand up, will we march on?
Or just wait here in the lobby?
Will we start runnin'? Or just stand still?
Either retreat or we storm hills
Will we believe or just be chill?
And if we don't make a sound
Who will?
